For two (2) months, I kept praying, researching and seeking a dermatologist's help as I was infected with a STAPH bacteria got from holding a very dirty metal cart. It was my fault, so to speak. It is quite a long story.
I have atopic dermatitis. At times, I cried to God and told him how I can fulfil your purpose with this condition.
You can't see me, but I am suffering a lot, yet I kept on working. My hands have bruises, scaling, drying up, and it is the itchiness that is unbearable. Worst, it spreads to the armpit, singit-singit lahat na skin brushing up with another skin of your body, even the tsinelas have markings of the infection. Yes, I have sleepless nights.
Two weeks ago, to count the doctor's prescribed use of the ointment and lotion seems like nothing happens. I cried to God with tears in pain and ardently begged, "PLEASE, LORD, HELP ME I CAN NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE."
Is it that we often ask how God communicates to us?
I was in deep thought when a feed on socmed caught my attention, JEREMIAH 30:47 "I WILL RESTORE YOUR HEALTH, AND I WILL HEAL YOUR WOUNDS," DECLARES THE LORD." In my mind, maybe this is how God talks to us. Thus, we have to be mindful of what we read or hear. It is Him talking to us, not audibly, but through the scriptures.
My skin is in the recovery phase. I bought a new body wash and moisturizing lotion that helped provide even more proven soothing relief while restoring the skin's natural moisture barrier. The doctor said, I have very dry and sensitive skin that needs 5x moisture in a day, imagine that. More than anything else, I praise God's healing power over the atopic dermatitis. It is not over yet, but my hands are getting better What a relief through God's word and promises, soon the STAPH bacteria will be killed and aint coming back, says the Lord, the hand bruises are healing.
To account for how healing happened, I went to see the Dermatologist at PGH last January 29. It was a 4-hour wait, I reckoned, but the appointment was 2 weeks delayed because I caught a cold. The doctor prescribed stronger cream, ointment and a lotion specifically for eczema (new brand).
I would like to emphasize how God works in our daily lives. I ran out of the lotion (different brand) and set out to get a refill. Unfortunately, or should I say fortunately, the shop did not have a terminal for debit/credit cards. Back and forth I went out to the drug stores and checked the prices, too. Looking for an alternative lotion, this time I would like to explore another brand. Read through the product description until I decided to buy another brand I saw in the videos at the DERMA. Please note the brand name was intentionally blurry, but I remember the color and shape of the packaging.
It turned out the latter lotion is the one that helped relieve the itchiness during flare-ups. I was thinking it was not accidental that I ran out of cash; it was the hand of God that was working on that day at the mall. Now, with the added stronger prescribed lotion, cream and ointment, this is way better, and I couldn't be grateful enough for the miracles. There are occasional flare-ups, but the prescribed medicines are available within my reach.
When we utter in our thoughts, "Lord, please help me or what do you think po eto na ba ang bibilhin ko." It shows our dependency on Him; the doctor and the creams are simply the people and tools that lead us to our fast recovery from the sickness. There is no such thing as magic. The right word to use is trusting God with all our heart.
LORD, thank you so much for your love and protection.
